David Naumann @dave_surg
Major David Naumann is a clinical research fellow and PhD student with the Defence Medical Services Academic Department of Military Surgery and Trauma. He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2006, and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008. During his military service, he has provided pre-hospital trauma care to battlefield casualties in Afghanistan whilst embedded with the infantry. David is currently investigating the mechanisms of microcirculatory dysfunction following traumatic haemorrhagic shock, and he is an investigator in the RePHILL study (A multi-centre randomised controlled trial of pre-hospital blood product administration versus standard care for traumatic haemorrhage).
